Coryn Nyirich
“I treat patients like they’re my own family,” says Coryn Njirich about patient Ruthe Reese and others that she sees in the clinic.
Coryn is a medical assistant with Sonora Regional Medical Center’s Hillside Internal Medicine. She recently had a memorable experience with a patient who came to the medical office complaining of shoulder pain after suffering a fall at home. Coryn was so concerned for him that she escorted him to the Emergency Department. When she turned to leave, the patient grabbed her hand and begged her to stay with him saying, “If this is the last time I see you, I want to thank you for all you have done for me.” She still tears up over this experience. “I’m in a job where I help people and am blessed to care for them,” she says.
