Don Burns
Don Burns, a nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), has been with Sonora Regional Medical Center for 31 years. Don not only cares for patients in recovery after surgery, but also for people in need.
While in line at the pharmacy, Don overheard someone say that she could not pay for her prescription. Don paid for the woman’s medication and also gave her gas money so she could get home. “Hopefully if I was in that situation, someone would do it for me,” he said.
