Jason Hamblin, lead driver for Sonora Oxygen Supply (SOS), travels to Tuolumne, Calaveras, and Mariposa counties delivering oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, the Lifeline system and other respiratory and medical equipment to 15 to 20 patients a day.
Jason traveled once through four feet of snow to get to a patient in Long Barn—a patient without a phone or power who needed oxygen. That patient is now a regular client. “Every day there’s something different; their stories are pretty incredible,” he says. Jason recalls many patients who have shared their stories with him: “A connection is created and I may be the only person that a patient sees that day.”
