Volunteen and Collegiate Program
High school and college students, especially those with a serious interest in pursuing a career in health care, are welcome additions to Sonora Regional Medical Center’s volunteer team.
The volunteer work-experience opportunties vary depending on what grade you are in, the number of hours you have already volunteered with the Medical Center, and of course, your interests and demonstrated commitment. A new freshman Volunteen might assist staff in the Medical Center lobby or long-term care facility. Students in higher grades can choose to help staff and/or patients in our Diagnostic Imaging areas, outpatient lab, medical-surgical floors and many other settings. Senior interns, or juniors with 200 or more volunteer hours, are able to job shadow and assist in the department of their choice.
Students can work a two- or four-hour shift. We ask that you commit to a minimum of two hours of volunteer work per week.
For more information, call our Volunteer Office at 209-536-4031.
