Preregistration
For your convenience, Sonora Regional Medical Center invites you to register in advance for the following services:
- Diagnostic Services—including radiology tests, ultrasounds, mammography, MRI, CT scans and cardiopulmonary testing.
- Surgeries—including outpatient, overnight stays, colonoscopy, EGD and procedures.
- Maternity
By providing us with important information from the convenience of your own home or simply at a time when it's easiest for you, we can help to significantly reduce your wait time when you arrive for your exam.
We hope the convenience and coordination of these services prove beneficial to you. Please read the following information below for some general tips and instructions.
- A registration associate may contact you prior to your service to obtain preadmission information. This includes your current address, phone number, employer, insurance information and payment arrangements.
- The financial counselor will inform you of your out-of-pocket expenses for your service. If you do not have insurance, we would be happy to discuss payment options and resources. For your convenience payment can be made at the time of preregistration. Payment arrangements need be completed prior to any elective service.
- Most insurance plans require that you obtain a referral and/or an authorization or precertification from your primary care physician or specialty care physician before you obtain services from the hospital. If you do not obtain the necessary approvals, your health insurance carrier may not provide coverage and you may be responsible for the full cost of these services. We recommend that you check with your insurance carrier to verify that the service has been authorized and referrals have been obtained.
